My apartment which is 20 meters squared. I know huge huh!!!!

These are the sweetest pics from an french artist that is from a city not far from where i'm living in St. Etienne. Had to get  creative to have some kind of art in my apt. that wouldn't cost a lot.

this is the apt not a lot to it. in the left corner is what's called a kitchen and the pink blanket you see in the bottom left ocrner of the pic is my bed. I am taking the pic from my door so all you can't see is the bathroom

yippeeeee that's the view from my window and you can see my bed and the door. out of all the apartments i found that were supposedly furnished this was only the 2nd one that had a bed. I of course bought all of the bedding and am happy that it folds out of course into a double and is pretty comfortable. Ok not even close to hoe comfortable my bed in the US but about a thousand times better than any bed i had as a missionary in France sooo... I am good.

My stage (training) in the mountains of Grenoble (Autrans) where i learned nothing about teaching!!!

This is an awesome Italian girl that i met at he training. She of course is going to be teaching Italian. It was really weird because there were a lot of assistants that didn't speak english like this girl and so we had to speak french together even though neither of us were native french speakers. Hahahaha it was a lot of fun

This is the bldg i slept in 2 British  and 2 women from Columbia. The 2 from Columbia didn't speak english so just like talking with the italian we had to also speak french together.  Love it!!!

First real homemade/apartment-made meal in France

This was the exciting first experience of real home cooking. I made my homemade chicken noodle soup for the first time in France. This is also a little preview pic of my cute LITTLE apartment. Yeh ...so i had to put up some type of art that you see right by my head in the pic. I bought a calendar at a little art shop by my apartment and the artist is a local from St Etienne which is a city close to where i live, which made me happy. I just cut out all of the images and used them separately and voila 12 images to decorate a small apartment

I tried to find whole wheat flour which isn't very common and instead bought what they call flour with cereal. It doesn't actually have cereal in it but does have flax seed and other nuts like sunflower. It actually turned out yummy which i was nervous about since i have never made homemade pasta with nuts in the flour. oh and that glass u see is what i had to use to roll out the dough since i don't have a rolling pin

mmmmm... you can see the flax seed and the nuts...

Here is the final product without celery of course since that doesn't really exist here and everytime i found it when i lived here before it was really expensive. Weird since it is super cheap in the states. I don't think they ever buy it and have never seen a dish with it. Sad since celery is really yummy in shicken noodle soup.

the street that I live on. Its just for pedestrians with all these cute little shops.

this is the view from my Apartment window. Love it!!!

the 1st pair of shoes i bought

Yeh so I guess that my shoe size is gigantic in France and doesn't even exist. So when i finally found shoes that fit I bought them. Needless to say my mother is going to have to send me some of my shoes from home.
